Camp Whittle

Location: Camp Whittle, Big Bear
Description: Located just off of Big Bear lake in the town of Fawnskin is Camp Whittle. Snow is almost guaranteed, so bring your snow toys and plenty of warm clothes. The town of Big Bear is nearby and has a K-Mart and other stores. If you forget something, you should be able to easily find it in town. The phone number at camp, just in case, is 909-866-3000.
Activities: Camp Whittle is loaded with many fun things to do, not all activities may be available. The camp has a low ropes course, craft center, rock climbing wall and a hay ride pulled by the camp's resident horses. The most favorite activity is the snow, there is normally plenty of it. Much time is spent playing in the snow and tobogganing down hills.
Lodging: There are lodges and cabins which are assigned to specific tribes. All lodging is heated, some have bathrooms attached and others have great bathrooms with heated floors located nearby.
Food: With the exception of Friday night, all food is provided. The food is generally considered by all to be very good.
Cell Coverage: Many tribes have reported fair to good coverage depending on the carrier.

Important Information
- Chains may be required on the road up to Big Bear. Check road conditions prior to leaving.
- It may be VERY cold. Pack accordingly.
- Waterproof shoes are highly recommended.
- Snow toys are not provided, you will need to bring your own.
