Welcome to the home of the NunPaWaPa Nation of the Y-Guides, also known as the Indian Guides.

New tribes are forming over the summer for the 2008-2009 season.  You can join at any time, but there is no time like today to join.  This will ensure that you do not miss out on any of the fun in our next season.  Visit our join/about page for more information.

Ice Cream Social

Ice CreamBring your friends, neighbors and their Kindergarten through 3rd grade children to our ice cream social.  We will be serving up ice cream and answering any questions about the Y-Guides program.  You do not need to be a part of the program to attend.

This event will be held on Friday, July 11th at the Santa Clarita Valley Family YMCA at 26147 McBean Parkway.  For more information, contact Jane Albin at 661.253.3593.

Big Rock Camp

Big RockPack your fishing gear and get ready to kick off our 2008-2009 season with one of our best camps.  Big Rock camp is always popular, because it is so close and there is so much to do.  Our dads will be camping with their braves and princesses in teepees at this private camp in the Angeles National Forest.

The private fishing hole is stocked with big, juicy rainbow trout.  Our braves and princesses will fish all day and then help their dads prepare dinner with the fish they catch.  There is so much to do at Big Rock. [More...]

Wisdom Tree/Graduation

Wisdom TreeThe highly acclaimed wisdom tree was back this year! We also used this event to recognize our graduates from the Y-Guides program.

Our families enjoyed great picnic lunches while being entertained by this wonderful Native American singing, dancing, storytelling and puppetry show.  Many families also enjoyed the snow cones and Native American crafts that were provided.

We gave our graduating braves and princesses a wonderful sendoff, and hope to see them in the fall in the YMCA Trailblazer program. [More...]

Camp Surf

Camp SurfSurf Camp was a blast as usual this year.  We were treated to wonderful weather and great ocean conditions.  Our little braves and princesses made some creative sand castles in our competition.  We were treated to some funny skits at our evening campfire as well as fun toys for those that participated in our sand castle competition.  We took a group picture, that can be viewed and download by clicking more.
